Did you know that nearly 10% of the American population deals with lower back pain at any given moment? That’s almost 31 million people living a pain-plagued life. While each person’s case is unique, the pain stems from degenerative conditions or disc issues (herniated or slipped discs).
If you’re experiencing spinal pain, decompression treatment over a series of appointments can alleviate your discomfort. By pairing decompression with chiropractic adjustments, you’ll be back to your old self in no time.
Many of our patients benefit from decompression treatment, even those suffering from chronic lower back pain. 90% of patients who undergo treatment report feeling better after several sessions. However, some see immediate relief from pain after just one session.
A comprehensive list of conditions spinal Decompression helps with:

You’ll be lying down on a mechanized table that will stretch your spine safely and comfortably. Your service provider will strap you in with several harnesses and provide a kill switch if you need to stop the procedure at any time.
The goal of the treatment is to correct the alignment of discs, which are the areas causing pain and discomfort. Decompression creates a vacuum between your discs, causing them to reorient themselves to their natural alignment.
Each session will last 10-15 minutes, and you’ll likely schedule 12 sessions. Despite how it may sound, the treatment is painless and won’t cause your body any stress. You can expect to feel a pulling sensation in your lower back and feel a slight pressure from the tightened straps around your chest and waist. Be mindful of resting afterward, as you’ll likely feel sore.
We like to start most patients with decompression before they receive a chiropractic adjustment. Spinal decompression creates a space between each disc. Doing so creates a vacuum that sucks the shifted discs back into place while helping lubricate them simultaneously. This will provide an easier and more comfortable adjustment.
